  • China has flight tested an upgraded version of its 10,000 Km range Dongfeng missile which could reach most of the US and European cities, days ahead of its 1st October National Day to demonstrate its nuclear capability.
  • Facebook said that it has stepped up its battle against spammers who promise to deliver "likes" to its members and warned users on using such scams.
Sports Affairs
  • Asian Games 2014:-
    • The Asian Games wrapped up today (4th October, 2014) with China dominating the gold medal count and North Korea stealing the limelight.
    • India finished their campaign yesterday with 11 Gold, 10 Silver and 36 Bronze and hold the 8th Spot in the medal standings.
    • 14 world records were set during the games which brought together more than 9,500 athletes from 45 countries. Jakarta will be the host for the 2018 Asian Games.
  • Champions League Twenty-20 2014:-
    • The Chennai Super Kings won their 2nd CLT20 title against Kolkata Knight Riders defeating them by 8 wickets.
    • This is the Sixth edition of Champions League.
    • Held form 13th September to 4th October 2014.
    • Most Runs :- Suresh Raina (234)-Chennai Super Kings
    • Most Wickets :- Sunil Narine (12)-Kolkata Knight Riders.
